THE CHURCHES ARE OPEN

Such a strange Sunday... you were very much missed, and prayed for, yesterday morning at Mass. But we want you to know that the churches will be open as much as possible during the week for people to come and pray quietly.

In particular, Bishop Declan has encouraged us to try to make a visit to a church on Sundays, if we're able to, and not self-isolating, which is why we had Adoration all day yesterday at Corpus Christi. Scroll down to see times, and watch the message from the Bishop. God bless!

There'll be Adoration on Sundays at Corpus Christi

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
It would be wonderful to have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament as much as possible during this time when we're unable to get to Mass -- at least while we're allowed out of our houses!

Currently, we are able to cover Adoration at Corpus Christi on Sundays from 9am to 6pm, and on Fridays from 9am to 1pm.

If you're able to commit to a weekly slot of Adoration, please sign up on the rota by clicking the link below (or reply to this email). If your situation changes, you can always cancel or swap.

There is also adoration at St Joseph's on Monday & Tuesday from 10-11am, and 6-7pm.

A MESSAGE FROM THE BISHOP
A pastoral message from +Declan, Bishop of Clifton

FEAST OF THE ANNUNCIATION
This Wednesday (25th March) is the Solemnity of the Annunciation - the great Feast of the Incarnation, 9 months before Christmas, when the Virgin Mary conceived our Lord in her womb. So do make a special effort to view Mass online.

As far as we know, the Rededication of England as the Dowry of Mary is still going ahead, so do visit that website for all the ways we can all prepare and unite with that spiritually. When King Richard II first dedicated England to Our Lady in 1381, it was only just over 30 years since the Black Death had swept through the country - so let's again invoke the patronage & protection of our Heavenly Mother at this time when our country - and our world - is so much in need of her Son, Jesus.

SPREAD THE WORD
If you're in touch with anyone from the parish who uses email, please make sure they know about this mailing list. And if there's anyone who doesn't do email, we can post them the newsletter, so please let us know their addresses!

We're still working on being able to live steam Masses from Corpus Christi... the video is working, but the sound is too poor, so we're ordering a special microphone, and hope to have it working ASAP.
