Like all of you, we are working to respond to the C-19 pandemic with as much urgency and utility as possible in order to minimize the negative health and economic consequences for our members, our sector, and for all New Yorkers.
To that end, we are providing with you regular resources and guidance (see below and on our website), and are asking each member organization to the complete the following two surveys by this Friday, March 27 at 2:00 pm to support our advocacy in this rapidly evolving situation.
Your information will be kept CONFIDENTIAL and will only be used in the aggregate, so please provide the most accurate information that you can.
The purpose of this surveys is to collect data that will provide the City (and our State and Federal partners) with a clear picture of the economic impact of the C-19 health crisis on the sector and our clients in New York City, and financial needs of the sector during the recovery. We are particularly concerned with the short- and long-term financial health and flexibility of the workforce development sector, and ask that you share as much as you can about your current and near-term financial concerns.
NYSDOL has just released a new schedule for individuals filing new Unemployment Insurance Claim by phone or web. As a reminder the 7 day waiting period has been waived, and the claims schedule is based on the first letter of your last name
Regional Enrichment Centers: DOE plans to open 93 REC sites across all five boroughs, with the first sites opening starting the week of March 23 for the children of essential workers
Meal Hubs: Starting Monday, March 23, three meals a day will be served to all New York City students at 439 hub sites citywide
