Dear Parent/Carer

Following on from the announcements of last week regarding the closure of schools and the cancellation of all examinations this summer, we understand that parents and students may be feeling confused and worried.

In particular, your son/daughter was due to sit the Polish GCSE this summer. As all examinations have been cancelled for the summer, these will now not take place as planned in May.

Whilst we have been assured by the Department for Education that students in Year 11 and Year 13 will not be disadvantaged by the cancellation of the exams, and will have their grades awarded using a different methodology, we have not yet received any guidance relating to students due to sit examinations in Year 10. Please rest assured that as soon as more information is provided by the government, we will inform you.
