Pause and Pray
Our lives have changed drastically over the last week. I have been home more than I ever have in my entire life! In this time I have learned some things. First, I am not always as patient with my children as I would like to be. Second, I need a little "alone" time each day to regroup. Lastly, I need to prioritize getting up early (before my kids wake up) to spend some time in prayer.
I feel a deep sense of burden right now for our churches, our cities, and our country.
Oh God, Our Lord and our Savior. You are holy and you are good. You are above all things and in all things. Lord, you are above this pandemic. I confess that I have not trusted you in this time of uncertainty. I confess that I have been anxious and worried at times. I pray that you would fill our hearts and our minds with your love so that we may then show others love and kindness. Let our love be genuine, let us hate evil and hold fast to what is good. Help us to rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and help us to be constant in prayer. I pray that we be intentional about checking on each other, praying for each other, and loving each other more than we ever have before.
Amen.

Biblical Perspective:
Let us all be constant in prayer right now!
Verse for the week:
Romans 12:9-12
"Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."
