RVNAhealth Operations Update

As State of Connecticut measures and recommendations change, we tweak RVNAhealth operations to comply with mandates and continue to serve our patients and communities:
  • The RVNAhealth building remains open Monday – Friday, from 8:30am – 4:30pm for essential staff and to accommodate on-site skilled nursing needs.  We are seeing both existing patients with ongoing needs, as well as patients whose needs can no longer be met by their physicians. Please call in advance of a visit at 203-438-5555.
  • The RVNAhealth Rehabilitation & Wellness Center remains open for outpatient services.
  • RVNAhealth essential personnel continue to serve our patients and clients in their homes and/or via telehealth services. Essential roles presently include: Home Health, Hospice and Community Health Nurses; Therapists, Home Health Aides, Caregivers, Social Workers, Pastoral Care workers, and key representatives from administrative support teams.
  • All other RVNAhealth staff are telecommuting.  (Which sounds more fun than it is.)
We will continue to provide updates as changes occur.
Ask the Chief Clinical Officer
Keri Linardi, RN, BSN, PHN, CHPCA (at left, several months ago) is RVNAhealth’s Chief Clinical Officer. Which makes her a very busy person right now. Nonetheless, we stole a few minutes of her time for a question.

Q: What do you tell patients and families in your care who don’t want anybody -- including their nurse or therapist --  to come into their homes right now?

A:  First, we do everything we can – always – to honor and understand patient wishes.

New Request: Call for iPads and iPhones

RVNAhealth is seeking gently-used iPads and iPhones to support our telehealth services, which enable clinicians to conduct patient visits virtually using FaceTime. This is especially valuable during this time.

[Please note: While all RVNAhealth clinicians use android devices to perform their work, this equipment doesn't necessarily support the most effective video-conferencing apps. Hence this request.]

Tweaking your Remote Workspace

With recent measures requiring all non-essential employees in CT to work remotely, you may find yourself without the benefit of  an ergonomically-correct workspace. You may find yourself hunched over the kitchen counter or perched in some other compromising situation.
