Stay Healthy. Stay Informed.
Clear Creek County COVID-19 Incident Management Team Helping the Community

Georgetown, CO, March 21, 2020—During this challenging time, the Clear CreekCounty COVID-19 Incident Management Team (IMT), led by Sheriff Rick Albers and Public and Environmental Health Director Cindy Dicken, is diligently working to safeguard community health and keep you informed.

Due to the nation-wide shortage of valid COVID-19 test kits, testing for Clear Creek residents has been limited to those exhibiting severe symptoms. The IMT is working to procure additional test kits as they become available. As of today, Clear Creek County has three confirmed cases which are being monitored by the County Public and Environmental Health Department.

In support of medical staff and emergency responders, the IMT has distributed 625 medical masks, 1,000 pairs of gloves, and over 100 protective suits. To provide you with up-to-date, accurate and helpful information, the IMT has created a COVID-19 INFORMATION page on the County website—www.clearcreekcounty.us. Information includes closures, local resources, other reliable COVID-19 information.

Through social media, we will regularly address important community topics such as grocery shopping. In addition to their regular hours (7am to 8pm, seven days a week), Safeway in Idaho Springs is providing special shopping times on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7am to 9am for Seniors and At-Risk customers only. Safeway
Pharmacy hours are: 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm on Saturday, and 10am to 2pm on Sunday.

During this crisis, the County Commissioners will hold SPECIAL MEETINGS each Thursday at 11am for you to hear the weekly IMT updates. Connection information will be provided.

Please do your part to minimize the spread of COVID-19—stay informed, practice social distancing, and only leave your residence for essential services.
