With the rise of cases of COVID-19 in metropolitan Atlanta, the Partnership for Southern Equity has decided to serve the equity ecosystem remotely and close our offices until 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 6, 2020. We will follow the interim guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to prepare and prevent the spread of the illness in our respective communities, and in the local and regional communities in which we serve. As you already know, COVID-19 has exposed many inequities in our healthcare system and civil society...(read more)

In the spring of 2019, the Partnership for Southern Equity (PSE) launched The Keep That Same Energy Youth Initiative (KTSE). We are excited to finally share with you the great work we will be doing with youth in Atlanta and the American South.

KTSE invites students to learn and engage in a call to action for energy equity for all. This initiative seeks to inspire and train leaders who will create systems in which all people can thrive and gain access to the same energy opportunities. By engaging in campus/youth group-based initiatives and programming, the KTSE will position its participants to become part of a network of leaders for equity. PSE aspires to create a space in which future organizers, fellows, and ambassadors can be activated, as well as become the collective voice for young people and racial equity in the American South.

Keep up with KTSE!
We've added a new section to our blog that we're calling Nathaniel Speaks, which will allow you to keep up with our founder and CEqO on his upcoming speaking engagements around the country*.

#ATLCounts

The United States Census of 2020, will be the 24th United States Census. The census provides critical data that lawmakers, business owners, teachers, and many others use to provide daily services, products, and support for you and your community. Every year, more than $675 billion in federal funding go to hospitals, fire departments, schools, roads, and other resources based on census data. PSE supports the City of Atlanta's #ATLCounts initiative to ensure everyone is counted, which ensures a more equitable division of funding and representation in our communities.
