Work/Life Balance Learning Bundles
CSU has newly launched Work/Life Balance Learning Bundles containing theme-based courses and videos that are packaged for easy access. The Work/Life Balance learning bundle is available on the Learning Hub and provides courses, a quick video and several CSU’s Got Talent webcasts for team members and managers. If you’re feeling stressed about the current COVID situation, we highly recommend the “Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation” webcast with Dr. Juliet Hwang.  It’s definitely worth an hour of your time.

Mindfulness Toolkit
Mindfulness involves experiential processing which "permits the individual to attend to a stimulus as it is, without immediate attempts to derive meaning from it." Mindfulness has been shown to improve attention stability, increase cognitive capacity, improve stress regulation and reduce emotional reactivity. The Employee and Organization Development Department offers a Mindfulness Toolkit that includes videos, online courses, articles, and eBooks to support you. Click here to view the Mindfulness Toolkit.
Zoom Open Labs
In remote work environments, staying connected with your team is more important than ever. Zoom video conferencing provides an excellent platform to have face-to-face team meetings, 1-on-1 check-ins, project collaborations, and even remote training sessions and book circles! Zoom Help Center provides daily live or recorded webinars to help you get started and navigate this user-friendly software. Additionally, the Employee and Organization Development department will be hosting virtual open labs to provide small groups of employees the opportunity to ask specific questions with a focus on Cal Poly services as well as Zoom best practices and etiquette. Mindfulness in Organizations
This book chapter reviews the definition and concept of mindfulness; the different forms of mindfulness practice in organizations; and the empirical evidence on the effects of mindfulness on work-related outcomes and processes such as employee performance, employee wellbeing, leadership, and ethical decision making.
