Ramping Up Beef Promotion & Education

The Nebraska Beef Council wants to share how we are connecting with consumers and helping them deal with cooking at home, buying and storing beef and other topics. Although these are activities we do on a daily basis, we are ramping up some specific topics that are timely due to the COVID-19 situation. So below are some examples of social media posts that we have shared out over the last week. We will continue these efforts and will be nimble based on the consumer needs. In addition, we are sharing what NCBA, a contractor to the Beef Checkoff, is doing on the national level. Thank you for your support during these difficult times – it is our commitment to you that we will continue all efforts to strengthen beef demand in the global marketplace.

Beef Quick Tips are being distributed via social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram to help consumers utilize the beef products they are stocking in their refrigerators and freezers. Digital platforms allow for quick message distribution giving us access to over 30,000 Nebraska consumers in just one weekend.

With so much beef product being purchased for at-home use, food safety information is also being distributed to ensure proper handling & storage.
