Drawing a Martian Step-by-Step by Ryan Shaw

Do you ever look up at the stars at night and think about how big outer space is and what else may be out there? iWRITE Illustrator Ryan Shaw used his imagination to draw what he thinks a martian in space might look like. He shared his step-by-step worksheet so you can draw your own version.

Now, tap into your imagination and let's bring this martian to life by writing a story!

Let's start by giving your martian a name. This starts the process of building your main character.
Where on Mars does your character live? Get creative...use your favorite food or object or just some random letters strung together.
Brainstorm the problems your martian may encounter in space. How will the martian solve the problem?
The martian probably needs someone to help him out. Come up with a sidekick that can help navigate the crazy adventures in space!
