Enjoy Your Reading and Help a Good Cause

Update from Alison R. Solomon
My New Release and How You can Support a Worthy Cause
With recent worldwide events, I wasn't sure whether now was the right time to launch a book, but I do know that a lot of folks are looking for new reads as a way to distract themselves and lift their spirits. We're also  looking for ways to help others in these difficult times.

So I decided to launch Before She Left early and to donate 25% of all pre-order income to the Sonia Plotnick Health Fund which supports women who need help paying healthcare expenses  I hope you'll support me and the fund by pre-ordering here.(Please note, you can only pre-order ebooks. Paperbacks will be available April 7, launch day. ) Click here to read the first chapter.
The synopsis: Ella Jay has vanished without a trace. Her passionate, strong-willed fiancée, Breezy Carmichael, is terrified that something sinister has happened to her. The detective assigned to the case thinks Breezy should accept she’s been dumped. But Breezy senses something strange going on. For no apparent reason, in this small town of Gulfport, Florida, where everyone knows everyone else’s business, husbands and wives are deserting their spouses. Could Ella’s disappearance be part of the same mystery?  When the detective makes a shocking discovery about Ella, Breezy must decide whether to listen to her head, which tells her to walk away, or to her mostly unreliable gut which tells her to keep searching. The decision she makes could be the difference between life and death.
How Else Am I Helping?

This is a stressful time. Many people are home and scared. 22 lesfic authors have come together to provide some distraction by having discounting books and having Facebook events. I participated in one this past Sunday which involved giveaways and Q&A that you can still access at here and I'll keep you posted about others. Also I've put Devoted on sale. It's only $0.99 right now!

In these days when so many of us are self-isolating, it's amazing how easy it is to stay in touch electronically. But not all of us are blessed with loving spouses (I give thanks for Carol every day) or supportive family and friends. In addition to being a writer, I'm also a clinical social worker so I understand how emotionally complicated this all is. Please feel free to reach out by email if you have a mental health question you think I might be able to answer.

In hopes that we all stay healthy and in good spirits,
Alison
