We are living in unprecedented times. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted everyone's lives, but things WILL eventually return to normal. Over the past couple of weeks, we have witnessed our community coming together to support local businesses who have been impacted by this crisis. Over the weekend, you may have received your mailed copy of the 2020 U.S. Census. It is during this time that we want to stress the importance of completing this critical questionnaire. Your responses to the 2020 Census will affect disaster preparedness efforts for our community. The census collects information that provides an accurate headcount for the number of people who live in Davie County which is critical in efforts related to emergency response. The data from the census that you provide will be used to allocate federal funding, and now more than ever, Davie County needs to be counted so that our community as a whole can receive those much needed funds.
