Recycling Centres closed until further notice

Following careful consideration , we have taken the difficult decision to close all Suffolk Recycling Centres until further notice.
The safety of customers and staff is paramount and in accordance with current government Coronavirus guidelines about avoiding non-essential contact and preventing the risk of infection to others, all Recycling Centres are now closed.
It is essential that we do all we can to slow down the spread of the virus.

Recycling Centres Closures

The decision to close sites has not been taken lightly but it is essential to encourage residents to stay at home and limit the spread of Coronavirus.

Much of the waste that goes through the Recycling Centres includes DIY waste, electrical items, furniture, wood, metal and garden waste. If you were planning a visit to a Recycling Centre, please hold on to the items you were going to take until they reopen.

During this time, we ask residents to act responsibly and not place the items listed above in their kerbside general rubbish collection. This would take up space in the collection vehicles needed for general household rubbish.

Where possible people should compost grass cuttings and hedge trimmings and if you can't do that keep your garden waste until we reopen. For more information on how to compost at home visit our home composting pages.

Please do not leave any waste outside the Recycling Centres - leaving waste outside the centres or anywhere else is classed as fly-tipping and is a criminal offence for which people will be prosecuted.

For more information on how to dispose of your waste if you are either self isolating or are confirmed to have Coronavirus and for updates on any changes to recycling and waste services , please go to https://suffolkrecycling.org.uk/waste-services-and-coronavirus-covid-19

We will be keeping our webpages and social media channels below up to date.
