Ready and Available, Please Reach Out

I'm not an alarmist and I try to take time to consider deliberately and thoughtfully, the actions I take in my practice and in my own life. As I continue to follow this Covid-19 outbreak from a natural medicine perspective, I'm seeing how upsetting this is for many people and practitioners, especially the impact emotionally and psychologically. Many are scared and asking questions for which there is no best answer right now. So, I am taking time to address a few concerns I see directly, for all of my patients.

I believe that naturopathic medicine is an essential service which each person has the right and liberty to choose. I will continue to remain open to help existing and new patients in person as long as the State of Colorado allows, no matter your health concern.  I will also continue telemedicine visits (established patients only) indefinitely. Phone or video options are available which will establish when you make an appointment.

In a bigger picture, because the health of people and planet continues to evolve rapidly it is impossible to see and prepare for every possible outcome. This is where natural medicine shines. In my heart I believe in the ability for the body to heal itself naturally and intuitively. I know that natural medicine works and I have seen it do so over nearly 20 years of practice.

For those of you concerned about access to your favorite medicines, fear not. Just as a virus naturally mutates, we can accordingly shift any natural approach to the medicines and methods available. The following foundations of health will always apply and it’s a good reminder to check in with yourselves here.

Hydrate with plenty of fresh clean water. Practice proper hygiene. Utilize food, herbs, supplements or other non-toxic, non-invasive methods first. Remove obstacles to cure like conventional cigarettes or unhealthy relationships. Do proper relaxation, breathing, sleep and exercise. Stay open and connected to significant others in a way you see fit.  Feel and deal with emotions as they arise, especially powerful ones like anxiety and fear. Get the help of a qualified therapist when possible. Connect to your spiritual path, whatever it may be. When you get stuck on the way and need help, reach out. I will remain available to assist you and am only a phone call away.
