The Alaska Ocean Observing System (AOOS) is inviting new project ideas and proposals to include in our next 5-Year cooperative agreement with NOAA’s Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS).
We are looking for ideas to expand ocean observations in Alaska that may include:
New observing assets (moorings, radars, ship surveys, community based monitoring)
The mission of AOOS is to address regional and national needs for ocean information, gather specific data on key coastal and ocean variables, and ensure timely and sustained dissemination and availability of these data.
