Connection Needs and Opportunities Survey
for Tahoma UU Congregation Members and Friends

We're all learning how to connect in new ways with community while observing physical distances. To learn how we can best connect in these times, our minister and staff hope you'll take a couple of minutes to complete a quick survey with your communication preferences, how you're doing, and if you might be able to provide support to our community. Our staff will collect the information from this Google survey to see how we can best connect with our community.

Zoom Information and Training

Zoom Worship Services and Meeting
For and overview on our use of Zoom Meetings, visit https://www.tahomauu.com/connection/zoom-worship-services-and-meetings/

Zoom Companions
We've had responses from a few folks on our Connection Needs and Opportunities Survey who indicated they can help those needing a little extra support getting on Zoom -- thank you! We're working on matching those with a need to those who can provide support, and we'll be in contact soon. If you know of someone who could use support, but hasn't completed our Connection Needs and Opportunities Survey, please let us know. Thank you!!

Zoom Meetings Training for Small Group Leaders
We are also working on coordinating an online training meeting of folks who lead small groups to provide a bit more information with some technical info about leading your group on Zoom. Erien Babcock, Ministerial Intern, will lead this training session. To register for this session, please email Church Administrator, Libby Ball, at Admin@TahomaUU.com. We plan to be scheduling this training session within the next couple of days.

Supporting Our Tahoma UU Congregation

During our online worship service there will be a time to contribute in an act of collective generosity, just as we do in person each week. This month's Share the Plate recipient is Palmer Scholars. Donations for pledges or other contributions can be made online by going to our website at www.TahomaUU.com, then scroll to the "Donate to TahomaUU" button, and follow the instructions to make a contribution from your bank account. This will be an electronic transfer of funds from your bank account to the church bank account, and is especially appreciated during this current health situation. Contributions can also be made from your bank online, or can also be mailed to the church at Tahoma UU Congegation, 1115 S 56th Street, Tacoma WA 98408 with checks written to TUUC. Contributions made online from your bank generate a physical check that is mailed to the congregation that is then deposited to the church's bank account, and contributions made online through our website generate an electronic transfer of funds where the deposit is made directly to the church's bank account. The company that processes our online donations is increasing their capacity for all the churches they service at this time, and we will let you know about any new options for giving as they are available to us. Thank you for your continued support during this time.
POSTPONED - Pacific Northwest District Annual Meeting
POSTPONED - Pacific Northwest Annual Meeting

Dear friends,

Pacific NW District leaders have decided to postpone the virtual Annual Meeting scheduled for March 28th. Too many people who were to play a role are being pulled away to deal with other urgent matters. We will reschedule the meeting in the near future and let you know in time to register.

Susan Howlett, PNWD Board President
