Stay Home, Stay Healthy
This has been a very trying time for our community – one of fear, uncertainty and isolation.
We also have seen many cases of COVID-19 right here in our community, and my heart goes out to the patients and their families.
Here in Issaquah, I am committed to:
- Keeping our community safe.
- Aligning with the recommendations from local and state health authorities.
- Supporting those who need help the most.
Learn more in this video (recorded from my home) about the Governor’s most recent “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order; what’s open/closed in our parks system; and how our community members continue to support one another.
During this “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order, please know you can still enjoy bike rides, gardening, and dog walking — as long as you can follow physical distancing rules.
Help for Renters
I am extremely proud of our City Council members, who last night approved allocating $100,000 in emergency funding for rental assistance to help Issaquah residents in need due to the COVID-19 crisis. Learn more about the application process online.
As always, I am committed to keeping our community informed.
Please check our website, which also has resources for those in need, ideas on how we can help each other, and how we can support local businesses during this challenging time.
During these past weeks, I’m consistently reminded of our community’s resilience and strength.
From fundraisers to help feed healthcare workers at our local hospital, to local donations to Issaquah’s Food and Clothing Bank, you are making a difference. Thank you.
Please, stay home and stay healthy. We got this, Issaquah.
Yours in Service,
Mayor Mary Lou Pauly
