Technology and human rights in times of crisis

Thursday, 26th March, 14:00 CET (13:00 UTC)
Online

Dear Colleagues,

Following a successful live online discussion yesterday, which explored whether COVID-19 could disrupt the Internet (summary and recording available here), the Geneva Internet Platform is joining DiploFoundation for another live online discussion Technology and human rights in times of crisis tomorrow, Thursday, 26th March at 14:00 CET (13:00 UTC).

Tuesday's dynamic discussion tracked the journey of Internet traffic from our personal computers to cloud servers. The speakers addressed the potential challenges to connectivity and what must be done by, for instance, national Internet providers, major regional Internet hubs, and tech platforms.

In tomorrow's discussion, we will discuss how our new reality impacts the enjoyment and protection of human rights.

We look forward to e-meeting you tomorrow.
