Members Following the announcement of further restrictions by the Prime Minister last night concerning the containment of the COVID-19 virus which will come into effect at midnight tonight, The Office of Sport – NSW Government, can confirm NSW golf clubs can continue golfing operations provided spatial/social distancing regulations are met.
Clubhouse operations are to remain closed; However, club amenities such as toilets may be accessed, provided spatial/social distancing regulationsare adhered to. As a result the Golf Committee in consultation with Club CEO are implementing a number of social and temporary golf rule changes effective immediately.

Social Distancing
Social Distancing is Mandatory. The NSW Police Minister David Elliott said individuals would be given fines of $1,000 and corporations would be hit with fines of $5,000 for breaches. People could also be jailed for up to six months under existing enforcement powers. As a result a number of changes are required to the way we interact on the golf course.
Attempt to keep a distance of 1.5 metres between yourself and other people, where possible
Stop shaking hands and wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitiser with at least 60 per cent alcohol
Sharing motorised golf carts is NOT permitted; this includes privately owned golf carts. There will also be a maximum of two hire carts per group.
A reminder that the course forms part of the licenced premises and as such alcohol is not permitted to be brought onto the course. Take away beverages are available in the Pro Shop and where possible, a drinks cart will make drinks available on the course
Strict guidelines are in place to limit the number of people in the Pro Shop at a particular time
Competition presentations will not take place

Modifications to the Rules of Golf
Flagsticks to remain in the hole at all times. Players are encouraged to place their glove on to retrieve the ball from the hole.
The depth of the hole has also been reduced which will allow players to retrieve their ball without needing to reach into the cup.
Bunker rakes have been removed from the course. 30cm preferred lie (placed not dropped) now applies in all bunkers. Players are encouraged to use their foot and or club to smooth out their footprints and divot.
Players can mark their own card. Players should confirm scores with the marker verbally on each hole, there is no requirement for the marker to sign the card. Players are responsible for entering their own score in the computer (Pro Shop) which will be deemed correct.
Nearest the Pin and Drive and Pitch will be suspended
