BBC Countryfile - Sunday 29th March
BBC Countryfile at 7pm this Sunday looks at one of Herefordshire Wildlife Trust's flagship projects, the Lugg Valley Living Landscape, including the woodland community garden at Queenswood, toad patrol at Bodenham Lake and me trying to teach Ellie to paint outdoor watercolours in squally showers and wind gusting up to 38 miles/hour. What you don't see is my wife Lyn, armed with towels and chocolate biscuits, running round the set retrieving sketchbooks and brushes which the wind has whipped out of our hands!

Wildlife Trust Volunteers on Toad Patrol at Bodenham Lake last year

Wildlife at Bodenham Lake

I've recently got to know Wendy Rushton, a volunteer at Bodenham Lake who places camera traps round the reserve and gathers fascinating footage of the creatures living there including otter, kingfisher and water rail - take a peek here. If Wendy gets 1,000 YouTube subscribers she starts raising money for Herefordshire Wildlife Trust from the site too, I've just subscribed.

From Wendy's Facebook page

Wishing you health and peace through these very challenging and uncertain times.
Richard
