TAF Newsletter #9
March 2020

Dear TAF supporters and friends,

We hope that you are well, despite these challenging and difficult times. In light of the current situation, we have all had to adapt, including TAF, and change the way we continue our lives together safely.
All our activities and events, as well as our school and university work, have consequently been postponed.
However, we continue to do our utmost to work on numerous projects and campaigns, to pursue our mission to protect the ocean and its precious marine life.
We wish you all the best and thank you for reading, sharing and caring.
Respectfully yours,
Berit Legrand and TAF team
Clean ups
We thank our volunteers, supporters and partners who have helped us the first months of this year in our cleaning up actions in United Kingdom and France.
Creating awareness is essential about how we need to clean up our planet.

Worldwide, the scale of plastic pollution has become a reality, and as a result tons of rubbish have been removed from the ocean and its beaches. Still, there is a long way to go and this is why TAF emphasizes this issue, using education in all its activities.
Educational work
EDUCATION is crucial to understanding the importance of changing our behaviour.
TAF spends most of its time informing schools, universities and the general public on what we all can do to help!
As a result of the closure of schools, TAF now provides ocean and marine life educational material for schools and universities to distribute to their students.  For more information: info@theanimalfund.net
TAF thanks our university partner EDHEC and its association SEA' YOU for their commitment and engagement.
TAF hosted its first conference in universities in London and we thank them for welcoming us. Further operations are in preparation.
We thank Soroptimist Nice for inviting us and look forward to future co-operation.
TAF had the pleasure of working with brilliant students from Sciences Po university and thank them all for an excellent job.
TAF thanks the top speakers at our last conference who presented highly interesting topics, such as the endangered species in Australia, the dolphin hunt in Japan, the communication with animals, the use of animal ingredients in cosmetics, as well as airline waste management.
