At home with...

Joan Walters

Community Member, Forest Hill Dementia Friendly Community group. Joan’s husband Reynolds was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2011.

I suggest not taking life for granted, but taking each day with gratitude - for family, work and the skill and strength to do it, for music, books and friends, and a sense of curiosity that keeps me learning.

Eastern Volunteers Covid-19 Response
Eastern Volunteers is establishing a volunteer bank comprised of both volunteers and paid staff who can no longer work in their roles. We will co-ordinate with Council's emergency management teams and assist them to deliver vital services to those who are isolated and vulnerable in our community. For information on this program and to see whether your organisation can participate either by supplying staff and volunteers who are no longer involved with you in person or by providing us with information on programs that you need to continue.
