People are coming together to help each other.

Usually I use the opportunity of my upcoming birthday on April 8th to hold a birthday fundraiser, and had intended to do the same this year to help support some very important projects making a difference for people in need.
Then, everything changed. I know we all are affected in many ways by the spread of this virus and the efforts to contain it. And as we all deal with the impacts, now is more important than ever to not forget those most vulnerable and most at risk during difficult times.
Right now there are an estimated 100.000 people suddenly without work and an income here in Chiang Mai - many of whom were already living hand-to-mouth. We’re currently partnering with others to make sure these families will get free food as they struggle to cope.
And now we are getting urgent requests from some of our projects to help them address new emergency situations, mostly in dire need of food as well.
We are conducting impact assessments with our partners to get an idea of how people we support are already being affected, and we expect that in the weeks and months ahead, there will be very urgent pleas for our help.
So, for my birthday, I humbly ask if you could enable us to respond positively to these urgent and very real needs.
If you can, please make a donation. For as little as € 0,75 or $ 0,82 we can offer a nutritious meal for those in most need here in Chiang Mai!
