Annual check of mailing list.

Normally at this time of year we check that our email list is correct before giving notification of the date for the AGM. Due to the COVID-19 crisis the AGM has not yet been scheduled.

However, a couple of weekends have been spent trying to ensure that the mailing list is synchronized with the Membership Database and correcting any errors that have been found. If any of your details, as shown in this email, are incorrect please reply and let me know.

You can also use the link near the bottom of the page to update your preferences for the subjects you receive email about. Newly subscribed members will have no options selected by default so please be sure to select items of interest.

The Club Website has also been updated during the weekends whilst confined to home. This is ongoing so please check back from time to time. Also, if you use Twitter please be sure to follow us in order to receive the earliest notification of updates affecting Club Members.

The main changes to the software behind the website are to make the site more usable on Smart Phones, which now account for over 60% of our visitors. There is still much work to do but constructive feedback and suggestions are very welcome.

By now, all Members should have received their new Membership Cards. There are still some awaiting collection from the Bar Staff. If your's is missing when normal service resumes please let us know. Useful email addresses can be found on the website.

Most Members with the new cards take advantage of the fact that you can put money on them, e.g. by cash or Visa, then use them to make contactless payments at the bar. This saves a lot of time during busy periods as the staff don't have to count out change. These new cards also provide for entry to the building. If you still have one of the old blue key-ring fobs, please throw it away as they no longer work.
