Fighting the spread of viruses

One topic that was on my mind this last month and most likely on everyone’s mind, is the “dreaded” Covid-19.  It got me thinking again about immunity.  What is immunity and how does it work to help us in unprecedented times like these?

Although we understand that there is no evidence to suggest the Coronavirus affects our loving pets it is a time to simply reflect on the importance of their immunity in everyday life.  Dog’s are not that different to us humans and they too can fall ill from the sudden spread of virus.  We need to ensure they are constantly on top of their game by helping to maintain a strong immunity through their eating plan and supplements.

When all is said and done, the old adage of “prevention is better than cure” has never rung more true!  So, let’s keep our pets strong and healthy. When nasty virus’s hit, their body’s have the jump start to tackling it head on!  I’ve been reading Guilia Enders’ book titled GUT. For those of you as fascinated as I am about health, immunity and causes of  disease, I would strongly recommend getting your hands on a copy. It’s the inside story of our body’s most under-rated organ.

Now that the rain is over

After the wettest February in 150 years (so I read) is finally behind us, March moves us closer to Spring.  I have always loved this time of year when you can start hearing the birds chirping more actively and see the trees beginning to bud.

As much as I love this time of season it also brings with it the irritating allergies that many of us, me included, fall prey to.  Seasonal allergies are quite common in dogs too.  Many get the runny eyes or itchy skin and find it a time of year, where instead of running around having fun, they are feeling a bit down and suffering in pain.

We hear of so many dogs with secondary infections and hotspots which are the result of incessant itching and aggravation, all stemming from allergic reactions and the constant urge to scratch. Wagawhey’s dual action works from the inside out and the outside in. What do I mean by this I hear you say?  The skin being the largest organ protects your dog externally as well as lines the inner world of the digestive tract.  When there’s an imbalance in the gut’s microbiota and immunity is compromised, often this is reflected in the health of your dog’s skin.  Wagawhey has helped many companion animals and can be applied topically to aggravated, inflamed skin and open wounds.  Wagawhey, when mixed as per the directions and given as a delicious beverage has incredible health benefits for your dog’s digestive tract and gut health.

I hope everyone is keeping safe during these unprecedented times. Together we can beat this.

Keep up your 30 minutes of daily exercise!

Best Wishes

Justin
