Partnerships for Learning, Achievement, and Classroom Engagement
April 2020
Dear Project PLACE Friends:
Our team thanks you for all that you are doing to continue to educate and support students during this unprecedented crisis. We have been amazed by the ways in which teachers have creatively provided continuity of instruction and care for the students who we know deeply miss being in classrooms. We appreciate that we all are doing our best amidst very challenging circumstances, and we hope that you remember to offer yourself as much kindness and grace as you are offering your students during this extraordinary time.
For current Project PLACE participants: We will continue to do what we can to offer support to teachers who are participating in the current year’s grant activities. Project PLACE coaches are eager to help in any way that they can, so please do not hesitate to reach out. Current participants should look for an email in the next week or so that details how we will move forward with Project PLACE this year.

How Project PLACE teachers are connecting with their students
Candice Schneider
Here's a video I made and was able to send to my students via Remind, Google Voice text, and other platforms. My ELL students can watch it via youtube and turn on their translation/subtitles. I've never been more grateful for our personalized learning platform (Summit Learning) than during this season. There have also been so many companies stepping up to provide free internet access, etc, that almost ALL of my students are able to log on daily. And the rest are able to access through cell phones. Our students have been so resilient.
