Howard County Executive Calvin Ball to Host COVID-19 Press Conference Tomorrow
County Executive Ball will hold a press conference tomorrow, April 8th at noon, to address the ongoing response to COVID-19. The event will be live-streamed here.

U.S. Small Business Administration PPP Eligible Lender Tool
U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has created a virtual map to help businesses find the nearest SBA lender eligible to issue loans under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). For more information on the Paycheck Protection Program, click here

Cyber SWAT Team Hotline: A Cybersecurity Incident Hotline for Businesses  
The Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc. (CAMI) has launched its Cyber SWAT Team initiative to provide a coordinated a quick response effort to address the increase in cybersecurity attacks as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. To contact the Cyber SWAT Team for assistance, click here.

CDC Issues New Guidance on Cloth Face Coverings 
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) has issued new guidance on cloth face coverings and now recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain such as grocery stores and pharmacies. Wearing a face covering in public, along with continued social distancing, is how we can flatten the curve and slow the spread of the COVID-19.

New COVID-19 Testing Site Opened Today in Columbia  
Effective today, April 7th, the Howard County Health Department, in partnership with the Maryland Department of Health, will begin offering drive-through COVID-19 testing at the Columbia Emissions Testing Center for residents who are displaying symptoms, have a referral from their healthcare provider, and an appointment for testing.
