Maundy Thursday

Update on Maundy Thursday Communion Kit Process

Overnight, we reviewed our plans for preparing the Communion Kits and have added a few more steps to make this as safe as possible.

  1. We will sanitize all surfaces in the kitchen using the recommended bleach and water solutions.
  2. The containers for the juice are glass, and we will wash these in the dishwasher which will sanitize these.
  3. The plastic bags that we will use to hold the juice and bread will be washed inside and out with warm soapy water.
  4. We will wash the outside of the bottles of juice before they are opened.
  5. Anything that we touch after cleaning we will wear disposable gloves and masks.
  6. The kits will be delivered to your house in a plastic or paper container. These will be left outside your door so that there will be no contact between the deliverer and the receiver.

We want to try this because communion is an important part of our fellowship. We want to take every precaution to keep you safe.
Another option is if you have bread and red wine or grape juice, then you can put together your own communion kit.
You will still need to contact the Church Office so that we can invite you to the service by Zoom.

If you have questions, please contact the Church Office.
