President's Message

To say these are fluid times is something of an understatement. For everyone’s safety we decided that it would be best not to have our April 18th meeting at Regan’s Nursery. Instead, we will try our hand at a virtual meeting. We want to limit the size of the meeting as we figure out the most effective format and tech, so we are limiting it to paid members. We hope that this will keep the meeting size manageable and make it more enjoyable.

The Annual Show & Sale is coming up, but there is no way we can foresee what the environment will be in 2 months. Right now, I hope it will not be affected, but we are exploring other options just in case. For now, let’s keep in contact on the BACPS Facebook page until the next time we get together.

We also started a hashtag on Instagram to keep our members connected. Follow #bacpsmembers and use it in your posts! Show us what you're doing in the garden!

Hope you are all healthy and safe!

Stephen

Spring Meeting - Zoom Virtual Meeting
Saturday, April 18, 2020
1pm - 2pm

We moved our Spring meeting online!

As collectors we often think neat rows of plastic pots are pretty with rare plants growing well. However, a non collector won’t be impressed and even collectors love a beautifully grown plant displayed well. Some of you have amazing displays set up. Please join us for this event to share your growing tips and show off your creative plant presentation skills. Our President, Stephen Davis will lead the discussion and also give us tips on the criteria for judging at our plant show.

This meeting is available to all 2020 active members and requires pre-registration here. Please provide your full name and email address when you register. If you would like to become a member, please use this link to connect to our web page, then click on the membership tab to get to the Paypal button.

An email with a link to the meeting will be sent to your email address the day before the event.
Bug Day at Randall Museum - Changed format

The Randall Museum is holding a Bug Month celebration for the whole month of May.

If you would like to share a video or pictures of any of your carnivorous plants devouring a bug, please submit here and it will be sent to the Randall Museum to post on their social media pages.
