Hello All,
Things have changed a bit since our last newsletter. We, like so many of you, have been responding to this unprecedented crisis in our community. Thank you for the work you're doing. For our part, COIC has been shifting transit service, providing service to employers and laid-off workers. We are also working with other regional leaders to provide emergency resources to businesses and coordinate a plan to keep Central Oregon healthy and economically stable. More specific to Housing For All, we re-programmed some H4A funds in order to provide immediate funding to help regional shelter partners meet needs and extend their services.
We know you're getting a lot of emails, and we want to know if a H4A newsletter would be helpful.
Are you having difficulty accessing information about housing issues?
 (A) I have the information I need. No more emails please.

 (B) A monthly summary of state & local housing issues would help.

 (C) No strong opinion either way.

If you have additional feedback or ideas, please email housing@coic.org.

Housing Advocacy Across Oregon to the state legislature's Joint Special Committee on Coronavirus Response

Housing Oregon's Board of Directors approved the following statement on Monday, March 16 calling for a moratorium on evictions, waiving of rental late fees, regulatory relief and financial waivers as a response to the COVID-19 crisis.

The Oregon Housing Alliance submitted this testimony encouraging the committee to expand protections for people who rent their homes and homeowners; add measures that provide direct assistance for residents of affordable housing; and increase financial support for responses to those experiencing homelessness.

A grassroots group of faith leaders, service providers, and individuals in Deschutes County submitted this letter advocating for housing support, food security, employer support and additional homeless assistance funding.
