Class of 2023 Guidance Update
April 2020
Advanced Placement (AP) Testing
- The schedule for the spring 2020 AP exams can be found here. The AP Human Geography exam will be held on Tuesday, May 12th, at 3:00 PM CST. There will also be a makeup day on Monday, June 1st, at 1:00 PM CST.
- For more information about free online classes, review sessions, and connectivity issues, click here.
Night School
- The virtual night school session will be held Monday, April 6th - Thursday, May 7th
- If your child was signed up for night school, they received an email from me on Wednesday, April 1st, detailing what to expect for this virtual session.
- All classes will be using Google Classroom as their online platform, so please make sure your child looks out for an email invitation to join. This will be different from the email I sent them on April 1st. They can expect to have 7.5 hours of work per week, but if they finish the work in less than 7.5 hours, that is fine.
- There is a limit to how many students can enroll in each class, and upperclassmen will get first priority. If your child is removed due to space, please let me know, and I will schedule them for future credit recovery sessions.
Course Registration
- This week, students in Ms. Wadsworth and Mr. Wyman's classes were emailed a Google Document with the available appointments for course registration. The document is also posted in their teacher's Google Classroom. If they did not sign up, or missed their appointment, I will reach out to them beginning Wednesday, April 22nd.
- I will send the Google Document to Ms. Provau's classes on Thursday, April 9th.
BTWHS Building Access
- Access to all Escambia County School District facilities will be closed to the public, effective Friday, April 3, 2020. However, Escambia School District Community Feeding Programs will continue, with sites subject to consolidation and change. See the list of current sites here.
- Superintendent Thomas will continue to provide updates to families and staff by automated telephone messages. Parents and employees are encouraged to monitor district media sources, including the district website.
