COVID-19 Update 3 April 2020
Hello Wandsworth Food Partnership members and supporters,

We hope that this message finds you safe and well. We know it has been a challenging few weeks for everyone, and we hope that you are taking care of yourselves.

Below are a few updates regarding the COVID-19 Reponse in Wandsworth. There are several opportunities for WFP partners to get involved and share information, so please do get in touch if you are able to contribute!
Announcing the Wandsworth COVID-19 Direct Relief Fund
 

Wandsworth Food Partnership is pleased to announce the Wandsworth COVID-19 Direct Relief Fund to provide aid to residents of Wandsworth who may be struggling to obtain essential items.  

The fund will be used to reimburse volunteers who will purchase and deliver basic grocery items for the most vulnerable including, elderly, disabled, families with children under 5, self-isolated and those with chronic health conditions. 

How You Can Get Involved 

  1. We are fundraising for the fund. Please donate and/or share with your networks.
  2. Keep an eye on our Twitter account for content that you can repost your networks to raise money and promote the fund.
  3. We are looking for partner organisations who can help to identify those in need and field their requests.

Support Local Food Businesses and Feed Those In Need
 

We are looking into the possibility of developing a scheme to support local food businesses and restaurants whilst feeding vulnerable people in our community.

Local COVID-19 Resources
 
Thank you to those of you who have submitted information regarding local COVID-19 resources in the borough. We have compiled the list on our website, and will continue updating this information as we discover new resources.

We have also been reposting updates on our Twitter account, so be sure to follow us there as well. Please also share any good stories you may have of organisations or people working together to serve the community!

The Wandsworth Council have set up a phone line for residents who are in need during the coronavirus crisis. Please see information below:
