Starting Monday!
'Surviving the Future: Conversations for Our Time'
- enrol now

Join us, from Monday!

With apologies for the late notice - it's gotten rather busy here, as the world suddenly hunkers down and thinks hard about the future...

But after over 25,000 people watched our triple-launch event on 16th March, with Kate Raworth, Rob Hopkins and Caroline Lucas (more on that below), we'd now like to invite you to join a more intimate conversation.

For the next eight weeks I will be leading Surviving the Future: Conversations for Our Time in partnership with Sterling College, and joined by stars of The Sequel including Kate, Rob, Lucy Neal, Martin Kirk and Helena Norberg-Hodge, and other compelling, internationally-renowned guests.

Enrolments are now open, with discounts/scholarships available to ensure that finances are no object to those who wish to join us in this precarious times.  And if necessary, you could even join a little late and catch up.

More details in my blog post here.

And a huge thanks to all of you who made our launch last month such a success, especially those of you who had tickets to our London event, and were so understanding as I made the last decision to move it online in light of the pandemic.

It was a hectic weekend rearranging all the logistics - under the masterful guidance of the film's director Peter Armstrong - but we somehow pulled off a smooth experience for you all watching safely from home.

As mentioned above, over 25,000 people have now watched the film and discussion, helped by Extinction Rebellion loving it so much that they livestreamed it to all their followers twice over the past fortnight!

Other news...

Our other huge news is that the above course is only the first output of Sterling College's new $1.5m program based in David Fleming's work!

Their EcoGather framework is designed to connect communities around the world - initially in Vermont, Bhutan, India, Puerto Rico and England - that are focused on ecological thinking and action.

We'll hear a lot more about this, but for now, see their press release.

We're delighted that many of you have been enjoying the beautifully presented new, interactive, searchable version of Lean Logic at LeanLogic.online

We've been tweaking in response to your early feedback, with apologies to those who had initial trouble registering on the site.
Keen to tell a friend about David Fleming's work?

A nice, short piece published in the Vermont Digger newspaper about our online course starting Monday.

"Do nothing that matters without consulting a conversation."

~  David Fleming,
Lean Logic
(entry on 'Conversation')

A letter from the coronavirus
STIR magazine asked me to select some short extracts from Lean Logic that speak to these times of crisis.

They jumped out rather powerfully, and you can read them here.

Or listen to my new interviews with Radio EcoShock and the Green Dreamer podcast.
"David Fleming gives a remarkable overview of our present situation.

His writing is clear, witty, insightful and wise.
Lean Logic is a delight to dip into, and every time I do so I feel refreshed.

It is a work of genius."

~ Rupert Sheldrake, PhD, biologist and author of The Science Delusion

"We're thrilled to see this next evolution of David Fleming's work as a new model of community-based education and empowerment.

Higher education needs to be brought back into the real world if we are to tackle the 'wicked problems' we face; the EcoGather initiative shows us the way
."
