Branch Out and lend a helping hand

As we navigate through this challenging time, you may be wondering, "How can I help?" The truth is, even if it feels impossible, there are lots of ways to help, including sewing masks for health care professionals or neighbors, donating blood, or supporting charities in your community.

Even small acts of kindness can help spread hope and encourage others. We've seen many creative ideas organized by local neighbors, and small movements started, to do just that. Even though it's a scary time, it's nice to see some of these remarkable efforts happening around us.

Neighbors in the North Loop go out on their balconies each night and clap for healthcare workers.

In Saint Paul, a local band played music for their neighbors!

People are turning My Little Libraries into mini food shelves in the Free Little Pantry movement.

Neighbors are using their driveways to add words of encouragement and color to their communities with chalk art. It's also a great way to keep the kids busy!

In our own community, Forgotten Star Brewery has opened its doors to the Red Cross. They have several more donation days setup and a big goal. To SAVE 1000 LIVES before they reopen! At last count, they were around 250 lives saved! If you'd like to donate blood, you can head over to their website and set up an appointment. Forgotten Star is graciously donating a Pint for a Pint if you donate, to use when they reopen. AMAZING!

NOTE: They are not accepting walk-ins currently, so please schedule an appointment do you can get in!
