UNHINGED is the the first video-only performance by Orchestra 2001, featuring 16 musicians playing from their own homes and other remote locations, while practicing social distancing. This collection of performances is loosely inspired by Dr. Albert Barnes’s ensembles – his unconventional groupings of impressionist, modernist, African, Asian, ancient, and medieval art alongside wrought-iron door hinges and other metalwork – and even includes musical passages played on door hinges.
