New Free Child Care Package

Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package - From 6 April to 30 June

Yesterday, the Federal Government announced its Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package to ensure ongoing access to early childhood education and care. Information for early childhood education and care providers and services from 6 April 2020 - link to document

This new childcare package means that childcare places are free for children enrolled, and Happy Hubbub will receive a weekly payment to ensure we can deliver childcare to families who need it. Note: This free childcare is available for both permanent and casual enrolments.

Happy Hubbub will:
• stay open unless closed on public health advice or for other health and safety reasons, or on public holidays
• ensure families are not charged a fee
• prioritise care to essential workers, vulnerable and disadvantaged children and previously enrolled children
• continue to record attendance of children & provide a statement to families while payments remain active.
• comply with all other provider obligations including National Quality Framework and other relevant conditions of approval under Family Assistance Law.

If you have recently ceased enrolment, we encourage you to re-enrol.

To recommence attending childcare, contact Erin: erin@happyhubbub.com.au, 0411 874 046.

Adjusting to our new normal

We know that many in our community are grappling with this new normal. There’s COVID-19 to worry about, ever-changing rules regarding social distancing and lock-down laws, your and your family’s mental health, your work needs, the kids’ needs for play and socialisation, your need for a break .…

As we adjust to our changing work circumstances, please know Happy Hubbub is still open and we welcome a phone chat or an email, and supporting our families’ work and childcare needs remain our primary focus.

We’re making coworking FREE for our community, whether or not you choose to use the childcare at this time. This gives our families the option to have one parent/caregiver at home with the kids while the other comes to Hubbub to get a block of work done. We’ve turned offices and meeting rooms into one-person work zones, and the larger shared spaces are strictly two people at a time only. Email to reserve a desk: info@happyhubbub.com.au

It remains each family’s decision whether or not to utilise our services, and we understand your decisions may change week to week, day by day. We welcome a phone chat or email any time to discuss your needs or concerns, and to reassure you of the strict measures we’ve put in place for our staff and community’s ongoing health and safety.
