Dear 19th Ward Business Owners,

We are here for you and will continue to provide you with information as we receive it from city, state and federal agencies. Our website is updated with information on resources available to business owners during the COVID-19 outbreak.

As always, please contact us with questions and share information with other business owners. If we don’t know the answer, we will do our best to obtain the information needed as quickly as possible!

What are Your Local Business Associations Doing?

The three business associations in our ward—the 95th Street Beverly Hills Business Association, the Mt. Greenwood Community and Business Association, and the Morgan Park Beverly Hills Business Association—are working closely with the Beverly Area Planning Association and Alderman O’Shea’s office to support you during these challenging days. We are using our social media platforms to share information about what you are doing right now.

Please like and follow our Facebook page! We are receiving a lot of information from the city with quick turnaround times for aid applications and other assistance. We share these updates on Facebook, so following our page will keep you informed on a daily basis.

If you are an essential business and are offering specials, reduced hours, etc., please be sure to let us know, so that we can help push that information out.

If you are closed to the public but have a promotion to offer, share the details with us, so that we can help spread the word.

As a reminder, here are the business association contacts: We are also advertising in our local papers with information for residents on ways that they can continue to support our small business community during this crisis. This week, full-page ads in the Beverly Review and the Villager offered 25 ways to support local businesses. Thanks to Chamber Member Jim Cleary of the Argus Internet Company for designing the ad, which is shown below.

Next week, an ad in the Review will list local businesses that are continuing to operate during the shutdown.

We are trying to continually remind our residents to channel their dollars locally, and we are in communication with our counterparts across the city as we work collectively to support Chicago’s Small Business Community.
