April 2020 Update

We hope you, your family, friends, & colleagues are safe and well.

Although we have ceased deliveries while we are on Level Four,  we are still ACCEPTING ORDERS and can be ready to ship these once shipping is approved by the Government.
... AND all orders placed during lockdown will have a FREE GIFT INCLUDED.

We have been reflecting on the impact Coronavirus is having on life and business, and how it might be affecting all of our wonderful customers.
We wanted to send a quick note to check in and see how you are doing.

Below are some useful activities, tips and an update on our products (a reasonably tricky time to relaunch our Loot Bags!).

Thank you so much for your ongoing support,  Emma and Team x

ACTIVITIES TO TRY:

LEFT - Glenn Jones is releasing daily projects and art to colour on his website. CLICK HERE

MIDDLE - This is the boss Emma, filming Pilates videos with 2 of her 3 boys (master 2 was not invited!) We have released these videos for free to help keep everyone moving and stretching during lockdown or after technology time. She has been teaching Pilates (originally a Physio) since 2004.  CLICK HERE

RIGHT - Greg Straight is releasing colouring pages that have been a huge hit. CLICK HERE

ADDITIONAL activities inspired by our collaborators.

Studio Soph is doing this #CREATIVELOCKDOWN drawing challenge: CLICK HERE
Clouds of Colour is doing this 10 DAYS OF #QUARANTINECRAFTS art challenge: CLICK HERE

AIR DRY HERBS:

Have an abundance of bay leaves, sage, lavender, mint or parsley growing in your bubble garden? We often use our Goodie Bags to collect herbs / leaves & hang to air dry. The bags keep dust & bugs off while the goodies dry out ready for storage.

FORAGING TEA: If you are interested in making home made tea, then we can highly recommend fellow Nelsonian Emma Heke. She is providing free tips and advice to make sure you pick and prepare your tea correctly and safely. Click here for more information from her Homemade Herbals business.

NEW LOOT BAGS:

It's an interesting time for relaunching a product. These beauties have been been in our store room a little while and all of a sudden we seem to have found extra time to do a photoshoot of them!

LOOT BAGS ARE HERE for those of you who have been waiting patiently for them...AND now better than ever (will explain below).

BETTER THAN EVER:
1. Our GOTs certified organic cotton Loot Bags have the same amazingly soft, strong fabric but this time the bags are larger. 2 x MED 25x29cm and 1 x LGE 28x41cm

2. THICK: Our Loot Bags are the only organic cotton bags thick enough to store flour and ground spices without leaks. The bags are French Seamed so no seams are visible. This makes the bags easier to clean & stronger.

3. SHRINKING: Not all cotton is the same and as you know with clothing, some can shrink from 5-20% from the original size. These Loot Bags hold their shape incredibly well even if popped into a hot wash or dryer!

WASHING YOUR SHOPPING

When you bring your fruit and vegetables into your house at the moment what should you be doing?

Well, in fact we should be washing any fruit and vegetables as they come into your home well before Covid - 19. Unless homegrown, we need to wash off any spray residue sitting on the outside skin.
We are now being recommended to empty your produce into a sink of warm soapy water. If some are in Goodie Bags, these can be popped straight into the sink! Let things sit while you wipe down and unpack the rest of your shopping. Then wash or gently scrub your produce using your Goodie Bag. Rinse under the tap to wash off any soapy taste and let dry on a clean tea towel.

Please stay safe and contact us if we can help you in any way.
Take care, Emma and Team x
