More about the changes
As Zoom has become an increasingly popular tool for connecting people online, it has come under scrutiny for the possibility of malicious intrusions into live meetings. To combat this, Zoom is now requiring all meeting participants to enter a password, and for participants to be placed into a "waiting room" until admitted by the host.
So, tomorrow's "entrance" experience will be slightly different than previous Sundays. In addition, we are implementing several other procedures should someone act maliciously. We will have three people monitoring activity. If something disruptive occurs, we will announce and temporarily close the meeting to assess the situation and decide whether to continue.
Zoom has been a wonderful tool for us to not only continue to worship together, but also to be present together in the best way we can right now. We will continue to use the tool to the best of its ability to serve us.
Should you have any concerns, please reach out to me or a member of the worship team (Rev Dave, Laura Conkle, Maggie Oates, Nina Houska, or Donald Zeilman.)
With resilience!
