As our normal routines and expectations continue revolve around the restrictions placed on us by the Covid-19 pandemic, we are saddened to be canceling our favorite spring events. At this time, we remain optimistic that we can pick up on some events before summer. We are complying with national organization recommendations and will not consider hosting any events before mid-May. We will keep you posted on the CNYD&CTA website and Facebook pages when we begin scheduling Show and Tells, shows, clinics and events.

Our Calendar of Events is posted on our website and we will keep this updated.

In the meantime, we’re here with some online recommendations!
CNYD&CTA is here for you!

Sgt. Reckless: America's War Horse by Robin Hutton
*New York Times Bestseller!
She wasn't a horse—she was a Marine.
She might not have been much to look at—a small "Mongolian mare," they called her—but she came from racing stock, and had the blood of a champion. Much more than that, Reckless became a war hero—in fact, she became a combat Marine, earning staff sergeant's stripes before her retirement to Camp Pendleton. This once famous horse, recognized as late as 1997 by Life Magazine as one of America's greatest heroes—the greatest war horse in American history, in fact—has unfortunately now been largely forgotten. But author Robin Hutton is set to change all that. Not only has she been the force behind recognizing Reckless with a monument at the National Museum of the Marine Corps and at Camp Pendleton, but she has now recorded the full story of this four-legged war hero who hauled ammunition to embattled Marines and inspired them with her relentless, and reckless, courage.

For fans of romance and polo…

World-renowned polo player and global face of Ralph Lauren, Nacho Figueras dives into the world of scandal and seduction with a new fiction series set in the glamorous, treacherous world of high-stakes polo competition.

Some of the most gorgeous men too...
Alejandro Del Campo needs his team to win the season's biggest polo tournament or else he's not sure how much longer they're going to be in business. What he doesn't need is some sassy new vet telling him how to run his business--and distracting him at every turn. But as they come closer and closer to the championship match, it soon becomes clear that Alejandro wants to win Georgia just as much as the tourney trophy. But can he ever convince her his world is where she truly belongs?

The Girl on the Dancing Horse: Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro by Charlotte Dujardin
Charlotte Dujardin and her charismatic horse Valegro burst onto the international sports scene with their record–breaking performance at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. The world was captivated by the young woman with the dazzling smile and her dancing horse. The YouTube clip of their Freestyle performance has since had over 1.7 million views, and Dujardin is considered the dominant dressage rider of her era. When Valegro (affectionately called “Blueberry”) retired from competition at the end of 2016, his farewell performance at the Olympia Grand Hall sold out and the dark bay gelding received a standing ovation.
Dujardin began riding horses at the age of two, but dressage was the domain of the rich–not the life a girl from a middleclass family was born into. Her parents sacrificed to give her as many opportunities as they could, and she left school at 16 to focus on equestrian competition. It was at 22, when she was invited to be a groom for British Olympian Carl Hester, that she met the equine partner that would change her fortune.
This is the story of an outsider, an unconventional horse, and the incredible bond that took them to the top.
