Our Kids are STILL RIGHT HERE!
Suzanne Giesemann, Messenger of Hope

Suzanne Giesemann Speaks to our Online Group on March 30th

Every time I connect with someone in the spirit world, they know I won’t be satisfied until they tell me something currently going on in their family’s life.  Yes, they know about their sister’s new baby.  Of course, they know their brother is getting married and other big events in your family’s life.  But just as often they talk about something quite ordinary like, “My mom just found a big black beetle in the kitchen,” or “My dad ate popcorn just before this reading.”  As Shining Light Parents, we celebrate the awareness that our kids are part of our everyday lives.

This month I had the honor of meeting with the Helping Parents Heal Online Group on Facebook.  The link to that talk is included in this newsletter.  I shared several magical moments that demonstrate how much a part of our lives our children are, even though they’re busy and happy in this new chapter of their life across the veil.

Are you stuck at home this month?  Feeling a bit isolated or melancholy?  Without the normal distractions of our busy lives, now’s a great time to sit and have a chat with your loved ones who have passed.  I’ve learned so much about the spirit world since my stepdaughter Susan passed 14 years ago, and the most important message is: “When you think of us or talk to us, we hear you!”

So yes, you can send your child a random “love note” anytime you think of them but sitting with intention for a heart-felt conversation means as much to them as it does to you.  How to do this?  Here’s a little visual …Did you ever run a string between two cans as a kid and use this simple device as a telephone?  You can use the same concept to strengthen your connection across the veil.  Visualize the love you share like a cord that runs from your heart to your child’s.  Energetically, this cord is very real and connects you for all eternity.

Sit quietly with the goal of making contact.  Take several relaxing breaths.  Focus on your heart and send your child the gift of your love and gratitude for being in your life.  (Love and gratitude instantly amplify the signal through the cord.)  Say whatever you would share in a phone conversation and remain open to any sensory perceptions that come back to you.

Even if you sense nothing in return, know that your message has been received.  This was validated in a magical way when a client’s son across the veil showed me a rainbow going from his mother’s heart to his and said, “Tell my mom, ‘the connection is good.’”  Mom replied, “I’m so glad to hear that, because I’ve been visualizing a rainbow from my heart to his heart when I speak with him lately, and I swear I hear him better when I do so.” Wow!  I’d say the connection is good!

Whether you visualize a rainbow or a simple string, it’s your loving intention that makes the connection happen.  If space in this newsletter weren’t limited, I could fill volumes with the evidence that our kids provide to let us know they are still right here.

I hope you’ll watch the video mentioned above and enjoy the special clip included from one of my readings that I share near the end.  In it, a mother across the veil acknowledges my client’s efforts to include her in enjoying a cup of tea that very morning.  Perhaps it will inspire you to set a place at the table for your child when you’re missing them.  Trust me, the seat won’t be empty.  May you come to feel their presence and love as clearly as they feel yours.

Dr. Mark Pitstick and his book 'SoulProof'

Evolved Souls Don’t Need Long Earthly Lives
April 2020
by Mark Pitstick, MA, DC

To all parents, I am very sorry about the death of your child’s human form.  However, I’m glad you are learning how to heal and transform.  Six key understandings to making that shift are:

     1. Over 99% of who and what your child is still alive in another phase of forever.

     2. Only his earthly body died.  Everything else continues – all the love, energy, humor,
personality, memory, energetic / subtle body, and much more.  (See article #2

When a Child Changes Worlds at SoulProof.com)  Really knowing this helps
you journey from a bereaved to shining light parent / family member.

     3. She is happy, peaceful, and enthusiastic – and wants you to be that way now.

     4. You will see her when you pass on and can enjoy relationships with her now.  (To learn
        more, see article #9
Visit With ‘Departed’ Loved Ones Now)

     5. You can choose to transmute your grief into a spiritually transformative experience that
powerfully improves your life and blesses others.

     6. You can heal and increase the gifts from his life by lovingly serving others.

Many parents have realized this great news and are living happy and fulfilling lives again.  You can do the same.  It’s not easy and doesn’t happen overnight, but it is possible with small steps day by day.  Here are five action steps . . .
  1. Attend local and online Helping Parents Heal meetings
  2. Contact The Caring Listeners to talk with at no charge.
  3. Read free Articles for Healing & Transforming at SoulProof.com and take action steps
  4. Listen to the free Radio Shows at SoulProof.com and our answers to life’s toughest questions, including “Why do children die?”
  5. Lean on others as needed.  Later, when you are doing better, you can help others.
Q: I’m 16 years old and my sister passed on last year.  I think you mainly work with parents but I have two questions that maybe you can answer.  How can I really know she is still alive?  How can I sense her more.  I’ve had a few dreams and thought I saw her out of the corner of my eye once.  We were very close and I don’t want to forget her.
A: Thank you for these very important questions.  My answers to younger people is much the same as what I say to adults.  I just have to say it differently.

The good news is that I just co-authored
The Big Picture of Life with Katta Mapes MA, MEd and Gary Schwartz PhD.  Katta taught and counseled children for decades; Dr. Schwartz is the head scientist whose university research recently demonstrated life after death.

We partly wrote this book for young people in your situation.  We use the term Your Little Picture of Life for what you notice with your five senses. That includes people, animals, furniture, houses, and everything else you can see, feel, hear, touch, and taste.  Your five senses tell you all of that is real.  All that is real AND – big lesson herethere is much more to Life that is also real that your five senses may not detect.

The Big Picture of Life is our term for all that exists.  Over 99% of life escapes our senses.  Your sister is in a different part of life than she was before.  It is much more wonderful and safe than you can sense or imagine.  As you know, it is very difficult when the outer form of a loved one passes on.  However, one possible silver lining for you is to learn this at a young age: bodily death is not the end of your sister and it is not the end of your love.  You will see her again and can continue a different kind of relationship with her now.

One way to experience this for yourself is to attend the online Helping Parents Heal group meeting on April 22nd where I’ll lead a facilitated after-death contact session.  To learn more, see article #9 at SoulProof.com.   Here is the j

Really knowing the great news above can lessen your sadness, loneliness, and other feelings of grieving. I recommend that you actively read The Big Picture of Life.  Complete the various exercises in it and discuss it with close friends and family.  If you can’t afford the book, we will send you a free e-book.
In it, you’ll learn our best answers to life’s biggest questions: ‘Who and what am I?  Why am I here?  What happens after my body dies?’ and others. The more you know evidence-based answers to these important questions, the better you can handle – like a hero and with style – everything that is going on within and around you.

Hugs, love, and blessings,
Mark

Here We Stand

Well, here we are, in a unique situation. We have been through hell and now, here we stand.  We stand resolute and strong.  We are strong in the Knowledge that we are eternal.  We know this because our children show this with their amazing visits and signs.  There are no accidents and this isn’t an accident either.

Over the years I have said on numerous occasions, “Once you understand, once you get there by owning the Knowledge, you have a sacred Responsibility to help others get there too.”  And now, here we are in a dire time, where our perspective is needed.

Last week, I sat in on a webinar put on by my employer, about the virus Covid-19.  The whole point of the virus was to help all the employees from a psychological perspective of grieving their loss of normalcy.  During this webinar it struck me, the tools and processes being presented reminded me of the initial stages of getting acquainted with a new normal after Quinton transitioned.  What further dawned on me was that much of our population was at a loss of what to do and even possibly, who they are without their routines and titles.

We know all about this, don’t we?  This is adversity; there will be pain, discomfort and hardship.  As we know, after the initial woe is me mindset, something quite magical is possible like the Phoenix rising out of the ashes.  Some may call it the silver lining or in our case, the Collateral Beauty.  It is already becoming evident as some begin to wake up to what needs to be done.  Maybe some more are waking up to deciding to be part of the solution, as opposed to part of the problem.  Can it be so simple and far reaching?  After going through Hell and emerging better for it, the answer is yes.

Collectively and on some level, we signed up for this and in some way it is for our betterment.  Suddenly, there is a clearer focus on what is important – our family, our friends and how we may be of service to those less fortunate than ourselves.  Seeing the impact of a smile, a kind word, encouragement, acknowledgement and listening – the impact of being present with someone, even if for a moment is tangible.  We are all in this together.  Realization of this simple fact is part of the Silver Lining.  We allow ourselves to be separated by so very many descriptors, but a situation such as Covid-19 wipes away many of the labels we allow to divide us.

Transitioning away from a physical form to a non-physical form, this too wipes away the labels we allow to divide us, as it is the same for all.  We are all the same.  We are all human beings or maybe more to the point; we are indeed spiritual beings having a human experience.  So what are we to learn from this human experience, individually?  I truly believe we don’t need to consider the macro-view, because that is beyond our control, at least initially.  What are we to learn as an individual?  I can think of no better opportunity to focus on this.

Life is an opportunity, an opportunity we all signed up for.  Let’s make the most of this, grow from it and help others cope and even grow as well by sharing what we know.

God Bless and Namaste, Ernie-Quinton’s Dad

In an effort to keep all of our wonderful parents safe during this Covid-19 pandemic, Helping Parents Heal has now switched to Zoom meetings, instead of in-person meetings, for the foreseeable future.  Our Affiliate Directors, Dawn Richards and Mary Bertun, are working as quickly as possible to teach our Affiliate Leaders how to use Zoom.  This has meant postponing our Second Helping Parents Heal Conference, that should have happened from April 16-19, as well.

However, many of our talented presenters are kindly speaking to our group by Zoom.  Please check the 'events' tab on our Helping Parents Heal - Main Facebook page, and on our Helping Parents Heal - Online Facebook page, to find out about upcoming events!

New Group! Helping Parents Heal - Calgary, Canada
Bill and Susan Van Oije

Please join me in welcoming Bill and Susan Van Oije, who will be starting an new affiliate group in Calgary, Canada in August, 2020!

More about Susan and Bill:

We are Susan and Bill Van Oije, parents of two amazing and beautiful children: our son Greg, who passed from this earth age 27 in 2014, and his younger sister and our daughter Kristin. Since Greg's passing, he has opened up the Universe for us and made it abundantly clear he is still here with us. It's all about love! We are retired, and discovered HPH when a friend told us about medium Suzanne Giesemann, whose writings led us to HPH. Not coincidentally, as we now know that nothing happens by chance, we had a second home in Scottsdale, Arizona, and were able to attend many meetings in Phoenix and Cave Creek, and attended the first HPH conference in Scottsdale. Now that we're back in Calgary full time, our son in spirit nudged us to start the first chapter here. We hope to offer many parents who are suffering with grief the knowledge that our children who have passed are gone in body only, and some day we will see them again. We plan to begin Calgary chapter meetings in the fall of 2020. Stay tuned for more information!

New Group!  Helping Parents Heal - Santa Rosa
Laura Tripp and Christine Johansson

Please join me in welcoming Laura Tripp and Christine Johansson, who will be leading a new affiliate in Santa Rosa, CA!

Laura Tripp:

My name is Laura.  My beautiful son, Matt, aged 29 passed by suicide 7-25-2018.  My remaining son was 26.  During the following year, I almost lost him as well.  For years, I had been developing a practice of connecting with Spirit.  I wondered if this would be powerful enough to help me live on earth.  I felt like I was walking between the veil; with one foot on each side.  The dichotomy between the pain of the earth and the joy of connecting with Matt made me feel unbalanced.  Since finding Helping Parents Heal, I have a much easier time blending my experiences. My wish is that every parent experiencing this pain will also have the joy of connecting with their child.

Christine Johansson:

My name is Chris. I don’t have children of my own, but my niece and nephew were the center of my family, the young people I looked forward to sharing my life with, the children I loved with all my heart.

On a beautiful October afternoon in 2016, I got the call that changed everything. My wonderful 20-year-old nephew, Karl, had killed himself. There was no warning; from what we could piece together, he had become very upset about something, the medications he was taking may have played a role in increasing suicidal thoughts, and he made an impulsive, terrible, and permanent decision.

Nothing in my training as a counselor or dealing with previous losses prepared me for devastation I felt. As I tried to cope by immersing myself in books and pod casts that dealt with grief and loss, I kept hearing about this group. Helping Parents Heal has given me tools to understand and deepen my connection with the other side and continue a connection with Karl’s beautiful soul. I am so grateful to be able to work with Laura and this group to provide support and comfort for each other.

Regular meetings will be every second Sunday of the month from 10am-12pm at 1921 Belmont Court, Santa Rosa, CA. Please contact Laura if you have any questions @ HPHSantaRosa@gmail.com.

Helping Parents Heal - Minneapolis/St Paul
Kathy MacMannis

Our Minneapolis-St. Paul chapter decided to hold weekly "coffee klatsches," and March 25th was our first one, with ten of us sharing coffee together. We talked about the challenges and unexpected joys of the last few weeks. We had one new member whose son had passed only three months ago, and we all shared advice and observations about what we remembered from that time in our journeys. We  ended by talking about a book, podcast, movie, or activity that we have enjoyed since we have been quarantined. We have decided to now get our own Zoom license so we can continue our coffees, book clubs, and monthly meetings during this period of "new normal."

Then on March 28th, a member of our group, Kathy Hager, gave us a demonstration of angel cards and the healing we can experience with them! The last hour we engaged in discussion using the Thoughtful Inquiry Cards.

And finally, fellow Affiliate Leader Kathy MacMannis spoke to 14 members of our Minneapolis-St. Paul chapter for our weekly coffee klatsch April 1st. It was an AMAZINGLY healing time for all of us, as Kathy took us on her journey from darkness to the light that she now is able to experience, as she has come to better understand the language of her two beloved sons in Spirit. "Open your eyes, Mom. We haven't left you!" SOOO helpful!

Helping Parents Heal - Binghamton, NY

We had 5 people show for the Binghamton chapter meeting on March 12th. Attendance has been 15-25 since November. It’s interesting that the sound healer that I had scheduled cancelled on Tuesday so I wanted to show a video. It was challenging for me tech-wise since the place doesn’t have wi-fi so I was letting myself getting stressed but self-soothed with some meditation. Then I saw Suzanne Giesemann’s Sanaya channel about the Corona virus and understood how spirit had lined everything up. I believe the ones who needed to hear that message were there.

Helping Parents Heal - Madison
Robin Landsong

At our March HPH Madison Zoom meeting Mary Bertun and I welcomed Transformational Speaker, Visual Artist, Medicine Singer and Medical/ Health Intuitive, Robin Landsong. http://www.robinlandsong.com She shared her story of growing up neglected and abused and then after being kidnapped and brought to Zimbabwe at age 8, she had two Near Death Experiences during the Rhodesian War in 1977. When she was called back to life by the Medicine Song of a rural Zimbabwean woman, it opened her own Medicine Songs. Once she was returned to the United States and had left the oppressive home of her birth, Robin spent years healing herself through art, remembering what she had learned and felt durning her visits across the veil, and many other modalities.

After Robin shared the brief version of her story, she sang short Medicine songs to all in attendance. The experience was deeply moving and profoundly healing for many parents.

Robin’s specialties as a Shamanic Craniosacral Therapist are trauma resolution, the neurobiology of connection, and restoring the natural rhythms in the body. She sees each person’s gifts, strengths, and underlying cause of their physical, emotional, or spiritual distress. Robin helps people regain their creativity, intuition, and embodiment. She is also an intuitive and Medium. Please see her website,
http://www.robinlandsong.com , if you are interested in learning more, or scheduling a session with her. I personally have done both a group and an individual session with Robin and they have been beautifully life changing.

What an awesome March meeting we had in Pittsburg on March 7th! We had a massage therapist come in and give 20 min massages and we also had a nail technician come in. We got pampered. Enjoyed some wine, had wonderful discussions. And even got a homework assignment for next month - we are all going to perform one random act of kindness for someone in our kids names -and talk about that at the next meeting.

Rhode Island Helping Parents Heal met at its new location on March 7th. Concordia Center for Spiritual Living in Warwick. We had the Psychic Medium Jodi-Lynn as our guest tonight and she delivered some heartfelt messages! More to follow as the ideas are brewing amongst our most interesting minds. Stay tuned. Also, the date of the next meeting was changed as the second Sunday of April is Easter Sunday. Stories of Validation-

Sally Stacey's Validation with her son Tommy
Tommy, the clouds and Stacey's IPhone

The Face in the Clouds

This is probably the most extraordinary sign I’ve had from an evidentiary perspective to date. I was driving east at 8am one morning and was very aware of my sons presence in the car. As I chatted with him, I glanced at the sky and saw a heart shaped hole in the clouds..a sign perhaps. On stopping a few moments later at the traffic light, I intended to take a picture of the heart..but the cloud had changed shape and there was now a face in the clouds instead. It was a stunning sight and I proceeded to take the photo you see.

A little later, on looking at the photo, the face didn’t register with me in relation to anyone so it was quickly forgotten and it became just another picture on my phone.

Fast forward five days, I asked my son for a cloud sign during my morning chat with him in my garden..after all, he had mentioned such a sign in a mini reading I’d had. I asked for one despite being not entirely convinced about the validity of clouds signs. I found it difficult to wrap my head around the concept fully, even though I’d read of some amazing cloud related experiences. How can a vast bunch of minuscule water droplets in the sky be deliberately manipulated? Little did I know, I was about to have that scrap of sceptical thinking knocked out of the park.

On going back inside, I picked up my phone to answer a call and it froze in the oddest of ways. As you can see, my phone usually has a clearly defined background photo of my son’s face with a scattering of icons covering it. On freezing, all the icons had disappeared and the background photo was very blurred. Instinctively, I knew my son was manipulating the phone..something he has done before. My eyes and mind sharpened, It only took me a second or two to realise that the blurred image on my phone was identical to the image in the cloud picture I taken a few days before.

If you look at the right hand side column of comparable photos..I’ve placed a transparent ruler on top of the image at various points..top of head, sunglasses, mouth line and chin. They all reflect the fact that the huge cloud face that was in the sky that morning is almost in perfect proportion to the small photo of my son’s face on my phone. How can that be? How incredible that is.

And the icing on the cake is that, without my son manipulating my phone as he did, I would never have linked the two images together like that, not in a million years. Nice one Tommy!

Elizabeth Boisson's Validation from her son MorganMorgan in Jamaica and Telluride, his Star Certificate, on Mont Aigoual

I was grateful to receive a reading Phillip Dykes and Kerry McLeod during their Zoom demonstration with Sandra Champlain on the Online Facebook Helping Parents Heal meeting. I had gazed at Morgan's picture just before the meeting and told him it would really be nice to hear from him, especially right now because of what is happening in the world.

Phillip had done a few readings and I was listening carefully to what he said.  He then started talking about a young man who was heavily into sports and had gone skiing with his family soon before he passed.  He was full of life and mischief and had blonde hair and blue eyes.  And he said that he had passed in an accident.  It took me a few seconds to register that Phillip was talking to Morgan because his hair hadn't been blonde since he was a child. I chimed in to let Sandra Champlain know that the message was for me.

Phillip then told me many different things; notably that Morgan was mischievous and loved playing practical jokes, which is true, that he had no fear and lived life to the fullest, which is true.  As many of you know, his adventurous spirit led him to the Base Camp of Mt Everest in Tibet, where he passed of altitude sickness.

Phillip spoke of a toboggan that Morgan mentioned - this is significant in two ways.  Our last Spring Break vacation with Morgan was spent in Jamaica and he was able to see the Bobsled (Toboggan) and meet Malik Yoba from 'Cool Runnings', which was one of his favorite movies.  And we always used to sled on Mont Aigoual in the south of France (one of Morgan's favorite places) whenever there was snow.

Phillip had referenced a ski vacation; the year before Morgan passed, we spent our winter holidays skiing in Telluride.  Morgan wasn't able to snowboard because his feet were too long; he wore a size 17 shoe!  And we had to have his skis specially ordered.

Phillip also mentioned that Morgan is my Shining Star; my girls purchased a star for my husband and me the year after Morgan passed that just so happens to be in the Ursa Major constellation, which means 'Big Bear'; Morgan's nickname.  Phillip had brought up the name 'Big Bear' in a reading with another mom prior to speaking to me.

Phillip also said that I have a recording of Morgan's voice and that I listen to it which is correct; Morgan had recorded himself singing 'I Believe I Can Fly' by R. Kelly the summer before he passed.  We love listening to it and we know it was not a coincidence that he recorded it.

Phillip said that Morgan looks over us from his picture on the wall. We have many pictures of Morgan that watch over our home, notably the ones of him at the Base Camp of Mt Everest in Tibet and of him with his sisters.

Phillip also said that I worried about how he passed; Morgan suffered for many hours from altitude sickness and no one was able to help, however Phillip told me that Morgan wanted me to know that he passed in an instant and that I should not worry that I was unable to be with him when he did.

Phillip ended by saying that Morgan comes to me as birds.  He asked if they come up to my window and in fact, they do so all the time.  Phillip said that Morgan was showing me that he is with me more than ever right now.  And while I was in a Zoom meeting a few hours later, a mourning dove flew right into our pane window and then flew away.  No coincidence that Morgan had recorded 'I Believe I Can Fly' the summer before he passed!

The bird made a huge bang and everyone in the Zoom meeting jumped.  Morgan clearly wanted to be sure that I received his messages!  Thank you Morgan, and thank you Phillip Dykes, Kerry McCleod and Sandra Champlain!  This reading was recorded; please click

Suzanne and Russell Klokkenga's Validation with their son Chris
Russell and his son, Chris

My husband, Russell, and I were so fortunate to be chosen for a reading on April 2 when Phillip Dykes and Kerry McLeod gave mediumship demonstrations via Zoom. Our son Chris (transitioned at 35) doesn't come through in group settings but the one day that Russ was sitting next to me, he did. As I reflect on it, this isn't the least bit surprising, knowing that Chris, with this rare opportunity, would have quite a bit to say to his dad, being in the spirit world and watching his dad every day.  As Phillip gave the messages, he was able to catch the very ESSENCE of Chris as well as the unique dynamic between him and his dad. What a comfort to my husband! The evidence but also that essence....if Chris would have just given the evidence that he did, the reading would have been powerful, but when Phillip captured the dynamic between the two of them, the FACTS were there that this was indeed Chris. Impossible to explain, but we knew.

From Russ, as Phillip affirmed, Chris learned to think things through slowly, work with facts over feelings, to use his logical mind and not lead with his emotions. Chris said the purpose of the reading was to communicate with Russ, through facts as he was brought up to do, to show his love in this way.  He gave evidence of specific memories which shaped his life and bonded him to his dad. He was Russ's "shadow" as Phillip said, and this is so true because Chris told everyone that his dad was the "gold standard." He would go to his dad for advice and wanted him to be proud of him above all else. There was an unspoken bond between the two of them.

Chris expressed his love not so much in words, but as Phillip said, in experiences that Russ and Chris had. Chris brought up a "fishing trip" which was a great time for the two of them, casting fishing nets with chicken bones to catch crabs at Hilton Head. Phillip saw them doing a school project at a desk, which was an investment project they worked on together sophomore year. Chris gave evidence of the many hikes they would go on in Utah and Colorado, where Russ would point out various types of trees and animals on the trails. Now Chris often visits the snow capped mountains where he and his dad hiked! He said these were his happiest times with his dad, and he brought them through to prove his deep love for him.

Russ's mother came through, saying she was with Chris, to ease our doubts, knowing he was not alone. And a special gift for Mom (me) at the end. Chris sees all the pictures I have of him on our refrigerator. One is of him when he was a baby. He sees me kissing that photo, and hears us talking to him every day.

As I write this I ponder how uniquely challenging it is for the dads who have lost children. As we all know, they are often conditioned to hold in emotion. So many try to stay strong for the rest of the family, but are often suffering silently. I write this to honor Russ and Chris, but also for the dads who may read this. Never doubt that if words weren't said, the LOVE is always there. As Chris said, "Dad, you did more than enough."
