Dear All,
In light of the uncertainty we all face in our daily lives with the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), I wanted to write to you directly to keep you informed of the steps I’ve asked my team to undertake to ensure we are prepared for all scenarios. My absolute number one priority is the safety of those who access our Growing Spaces.
To help support nationwide efforts to control the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and encourage social distancing, we have decided to limit access to our gardens until further notice.
We remain dedicated to caring for our plants and vegetables, ensuring that when we re-open, you and your children can once again immerse yourselves in the care and propogation of all that is planted in the raised beds. We will continue to provide the expert care needed until school staff and children are able to return.
In the meantime, all produce is currently being harvested by our Environmental Coordinator, Pascale. She has been giving it to the church for distrubution to those in need. A few local families are coming weekly to both weed and water the garden. If anyone within walking distance of our Growing Spaces is keen to lend a hand, please do get in touch with Pascale at pascale@growingspace.london
We will continue to send you regular updates via your membership e-newsletter, Instagram and on our notice boards at the entrance to our gardens at Christ Church and St. Helen's North Kensington.
We invite you to enjoy what we offer our social community on Instagram, where we’ll continue to inspire you virtually with the wonderful world of plants and insects.
Our thoughts and best wishes are with you all and we look forward to welcoming you back to our gardens.
Erica Cobb, Founder and Director of Growing Space
