Exceptional custom care for homes and businesses.

Bay Cleaning is here for you.

We know you need us more than ever. We won't abandon you. We are the company that helps people and that's what we are going to do.

Our Commitment to You

Our employees and customers are our top priority during this difficult time. There is a high demand for our services. We have taken extra measures to help people keep their homes clean and stay safe. They include:

  • We will never send an employee who is sick.
  • Our cleaners will wash their hands when they arrive at your home.
  • We will take extra sanitizing measures. Our cleaning technicians wear gloves and take extra time to disinfect your remote control, door knobs, light switches, toilet handles, and other surfaces that people touch with their hands.

We are working to the best of our ability to help you stay healthy.

If you have paused your service, we miss you! We will save a spot for when you're ready to have us clean again. We look forward to caring for your home in the coming months.

Here's what you can do.

- Let us know what you need. Call with any special requests.

- Cancel if sick. Please cancel your cleaning appointment if you or a family member is experiencing flu-like symptoms or has tested positive for Corvid-19. We will waive all cancellation fees.

However, please consider paying for that visit because when you do, we will donate to Cleaning for a Reason so that someone who is battling cancer gets an extra cleaning at no charge.

- Pause service if necessary. We will gladly save your spot and freeze your price for up to 60 days.

- Keep your distance. To protect you and your technician, we ask that you try to remain 6 feet away from each other.

-Allow us to use your cleaning and disinfecting products if you have them because supplies are extremely low and are not expected to be replenished for quite some time.

We want to assure you all that we are taking this seriously. It is our intent to be proactive and to limit risk to everyone's wellness by being prepared.

We will keep you updated as the situation evolves.

Furthermore, due to the increase in new cleaning requests, we want to assure you that your cleaning spot will not be bumped to accommodate any new clients. Our original clients pre-COVID-19 are our number one priority, and we thank you for continuing to support us and our team during this dark period that small businesses are experiencing.

Please feel free to reach out to Missy at 443-480-1266 or to me personally at 443-566-0040 if you have any questions or concerns.

Bay Cleaning is the company that helps people. We can do more together. Thank you.

How to clean AND disinfect your home.

We use Debbie Sardone's Speed Cleaning Rule of 3 and thought it might be helpful to everyone who is cleaning and disinfecting their own homes.

Follow the Speed Cleaning Critical Rule of 3 for a safe, simple way to clean. These steps will help you keep your home, office, or place of business clean and safe all year long.

1. Clean first, then Zap
Clean a surface first, then zap with disinfectant. First, use an all purpose cleaner to clean the surface and only then do you follow up with disinfectant. For example, to sanitize a table, clean it first to get all the gunk and fingerprints off, and then spray with disinfectant.

2. Spray and Stay
Most people make the mistake of not following this rule, which is the most critical of the three. Spray and stay means that you spray disinfectant and then you let it sit on the surface— DO NOT WIPE immediately.

Instructions on your disinfectant will tell you how much dwell time is required for that particular disinfectant to kill viruses or bacteria. Dwell time is the amount of time that the liquid needs to remain on the surface before being wiped off.

In most cases your disinfectant will need at least 90 seconds of dwell time to kill viruses. So look for the dwell time on your disinfectant and follow those instructions. It’s actually harder to kill bacteria than it is to kill viruses, so the dwell time may be about ten minutes to kill bacteria. But if you’re only concerned about the coronavirus, let the disinfectant dwell on the surface for at least 90 seconds and then wipe it up.

3. Once & Done
The once and done principle is that you will use a cleaning towel surface only one time. So spray disinfectant on your towel, leave the disinfectant to dwell for 90 seconds, and then wipe the doorknobs, but then you need to use another part of the towel or rag to keep cleaning other surfaces. Do not clean multiple surfaces with the same towel.

Spray disinfectant, let it sit for the right dwell time, then wipe with a towel. Use the towel areas once, then you’re done. Get a clean side for every surface you want to clean. You can keep flipping your towel to find clean sides.

This is the same principle for using sanitizing wipes. Instead of “once and done,” it’s “once and toss.” Use the sanitizing wipe on one surface and then throw it out.

Notable Quotable

“I had already found that it was not good to be alone, and so made companionship with what there was around me, sometimes with the universe and sometimes with my own insignificant self; but my books were always my friends, let fail all else.” ― Joshua Slocum, author of Sailing Alone Around the World
