This quarter has felt like the longest year everrrrrr...

MARCH 2020 UPDATE

We are all stressed right now... don't waist time and emotional energy on what you can't control.

WHAT'S NEW

Alexa Flash Briefing Pivot

We've been doing our part to keep our community up dated on the latest changes and special programs and offerings from West Seattle small businesses and resources to help keep everyone sane in these uncertain and stressful times.

Have to remind myself to take some deep breathes and focus on what we are grateful for as well. Thinking about others will help us keep a larger perspective and not spiral into fear & despair.

Supporting Local Businesses

And no with the economic downturn, high unemployment rate and uncertainty during this pandemic, many of us our tightening our financial belts (as are we) but I'm also trying to do my part to support my fellow favorite local small businesses.

While I haven't been ordering out much food, I sure have been doing my fair share of beer drinking from the delicious Good Society Brewery in the Admiral District (still open for 32oz crowler take out)!

What businesses are you making sure to support during these challenging times?

Office Office vs. Home Office

Here is my "before & after" work space photos. I miss my standing desk and undisrupted quick office space. I'm not setup in our backroom (which I'm grateful we have) and until I commandeered it to work in, was primarily just a staging space for clean laundry that needed to be folded ;-)

What sort of setup do you have while working from home?

"Home School" Resources

... to keep you sane while you get some alone time.

Adventure Academy has been an affordable and fun educational resource for our kid, when everyone needs a break. It's an educational video game for kids 8-13 years old. First month is free and subscription is currently 49% off.

Human Connection

Have you been getting in your "Virtual Happy Hours" to get your necessary human interaction and maintain some semblance of sanity?

This is a screen shot of a weekly virtual happy hour I do with one of my industry communities (Inman News). 30 of some of my favorite real estate friends from around the country.

What are you doing to stay connected to others you care about?

Zoom Galore!

So many Zoom meetings...

The picture to the right is actually of a Thought Leader forum I was invited to be on the panel for with some other real estate and mortgage podcast hosts from around the country, to talk about what we should be doing during this time and how to make the most of it in our business and for our clients.

We went "Live" on the Industry Syndicate's Facebook page, had a great turn out for the live discussion and the video replay has had about 1,330 views so far.

WEST SEATTLE MARKET UPDATE

Bottom line:
IF YOU'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT SELLING, I truly believe that NOW is the time to put your home on the market!

We have a captive audience stuck at home, that has nothing to do but look at your property online every day.

By the time we are no longer in quarantine, buyers will be chomping at the bit to get into your home while other sellers are just getting prepared.

REPLAY TO THIS EMAIL TO DISCUSS YOUR OPTIONS

March numbers below are almost irrelevant due to the drastic shift mid-way through the month due to COVID-19 pandemic, the sharp decrease in employment, businesses closing and the WA State "Stay Home" order (there is a lag in the reporting of real estate transaction numbers and so our current crisis will not properly be reflected until April or May numbers come out).
