BUSINESS AS USUAL
Several of our chamber members want to communicate that they are open for business as usual. (If you want to add your info to future "Take 5" newsletters, let the chamber know.)
Urban Impact programming has been temporarily suspended, but their Urban Missionaries have been leveraging their relationships in the Northside community to deliver acts of service to the vulnerable children and families they serve. The page HERE includes more information about what they have been doing and of their goal of performing 14,000 acts of service in the month of April.
City of Asylum Bookstore has a fantastic selection of books and other carefully-curated media. Their inventory is available to purchase online, with free shipping for orders over $25. Right now, buying books from City of Asylum is a great way to help other Northside neighborhood organizations as well, while also supporting your local non-profit community bookstore. By entering the corresponding code at the time of checkout, 15% of your purchase is donated to another great Northside organization! (Mattress Factory Museum: MATTRESS, Children's Museum Pittsburgh: CHILDREN, Light of Life Rescue Mission: LIGHTOFLIFE, Northside Community Food Pantry: FOODBANK).
Choice Restorative Medicine is considered an essential business for acute and symptomatic patients at this time. So that they can lighten the load on urgent cares and ERs with back pain patients, they are still open to see patients on a reduced schedule. New and current patients can call the office at 412-364-9699 to speak to a doctor or get more information.
Minuteman Press and Mr. Sign are still open and invite orders of printing. Mr. Sign has been doing a lot of temporary signage to communicate new hours or services. Minuteman Press has been printing a lot of menus and flyers. Both are able to offer a full suite of products and are serving via curbside pick-up.
