Opening Prayer

At the beginning of Holy Week let’s be mindful and prayerful concerning our brothers and sisters who are without work and adequate income.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we remember before you those who suffer want and anxiety from lack of work.  Guide the people of this land so to use our public and private wealth that all may find suitable and fulfilling employment, and receive just payment for their labor; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
Let us pray:

Almighty God, who for our redemption gave your only begotten Son to the death of the cross, and by his glorious resurrection delivered us from the power of the enemy: Grant us so to die daily to sin, that we may evermore live with him in the joy of his resurrection; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and
forever.  Amen.

Monday - Wednesday
Holy Week

Please listen to Bishop Megan’s Message about creating a Home Altar.  Click below to watch:

Creating a Sacred Space at home for your Holy Week Worship is a great spiritual practice.  You might spend Monday through Wednesday putting this special place in order.

God says he will be with us wherever we go.  Some of Bishop Megan’s suggestions for creating this sacred space:

-Create your sacred space on a table or shelf.
-Add a cloth.
-A Bible
-A Cross
-Bowl of Water
-Candle

You might also have a Book of Common Prayer.  You can spend time there with your Prayer Book, other favorite devotional material, or sitting in Contemplative Prayer.

Meditate with Laurie’s presentation of the Easter Season in picture and word, through art.  This is simple and beautiful!  A really special and uplifting gift.  Don’t miss it!

The Spirit of God will speak to us as we feed on God’s Word in this sacred space.
