Dear Inlet View Families,
Happy Monday everyone! I hope this newsletter finds you and your family well. Tonight, I’d like to approach all this in a spirit of inquiry and I am noticing that this new working week' is beginning with a clearer understanding of the things that are essential for my wellbeing in this very new environment. For me, being at home is WEIRD. Very different from my day to day existence of visiting classrooms, walking in the hallways, checking the cafeteria and conferencing with students in “the principal’s office”. Anyway - I am committed to ensuring that each day I really do get outside for a walk, make at least one phone call to a friend (not a text an actual phone call) and clean out ONE cupboard or drawer in amongst what feels like a mountain of online communication work! I wonder how you are structuring your days? Like a great journey of inquiry' structure and routine are actually vital for exploration and spontaneity.
By now, I believe all of you have received communication from your child’s teacher regarding the platform they will be using for the remote learning experience that we are all about to begin. Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 31st is the first day of our new normal. Please take this as an opportunity to learn alongside with us and your child. In the end, this experience is going to help us feel closer, connected and define who we are. A community that supports each other in good and difficult times. A community that gets stronger every day. Because yes, we are Inlet View Orcas!
