Bank

• Some branches of Young Americans Bank has new hours until further notice:
  • Cherry Creek Branch - regular hours
  • Belmar Branch - closed Mondays, Tuesday-Friday 11:00am-5:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-3:00pm
  • Green Valley Ranch Branch - closed until further notice from Denver Public Schools

Programs

• Programs staff has adapted the Young AmeriTowne and International Towne curriculum to be taught by teachers remotely.
• Instead of offering in-person Badge Classes, Programs staff is working to record Girl Scout Badge Classes as webinars that can be viewed online.
• Programs staff is evaluating Summer Camp options as we receive information from local and state officials.

YouthBiz

• YouthBiz staff members are working on a virtual shopping experience for young entrepreneurs who were hoping to sell products at Marketplace.  More information coming soon!
• YouthBiz staff members are working on developing online classes/workshops to engage young entrepreneurs while they are at home.  More information about this coming soon!
• Applications are now open for the Spotlight on YouthBiz Stars business competition!  Youth ages 6-21 are eligible to win cash prizes, up to $5,000.  Help us spread the word!

Development

• Development staff is working diligently on new sources of funding to support the growth of our online curriculum initiatives and is exploring the possibility of a virtual fundraiser..

Miscellaneous

• We're looking for teens to join our 2020-2021 Youth Advisory Board!  This group of 8th-12th graders meet monthly to gain leadership experience and advise Young Americans.  Applications are available online and are due May 2.
