As you can imagine, Transition Town Dorchester has effectively shut up shop for the duration. The geese and hens are being fed and shut up at night/let out in the mornings, and the polytunnel is being watered, by individuals, but beyond that, nothing is happening. Until this all ends....
We are extremely pleased, however, that we got nearly all of the trees planted which we ordered this season. We had three tree planting days between January and March, and had between 15 and 30 volunteers turn up for each occasion, and planted almost 1000 trees. Many thanks to all who came out to help us, and I hope you will now all be able to enjoy watching the trees you planted grow! And there is an exciting new tree planting initiative which will be taking off next season - more about that later in the year.
