National Aquaculture Impact Survey
Response to COVID 19

A MESSAGE FROM THE NATIONAL AQUACULTURE ASSOCIATION:
Following the initial actions by Congress and the White House to pass and sign three legislative packages to address the human health and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we can expect the public and agencies will be requesting data to support current and future decision making or to develop additional legislation.

The National Aquaculture Association requests that the US aquaculture community (farms and allied businesses) participate in a
15-minute survey developed by Virginia Tech and The Ohio State universities to assess the direct and indirect effects of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on US aquaculture and to gather input on types of assistance that will be most useful. The following information is provided by the survey originators Jonathan van Senten and Matt Smith that will be analyzing responses.

National COVID-19 Aquaculture Impact Survey
We are collecting information about how your farm or business has been affected, or may be affected, by the coronavirus pandemic. This survey includes requesting information about what type of assistance is needed by your business at local, state, and federal levels. We intend to use the results to summarize the impacts of coronavirus disease across the U.S. aquaculture, aquaponics, and allied industry, and to identify resources that may be of benefit to your farm or business. A summary of the results (no raw data) will be shared with the national, regional, state and species aquaculture associations to support of their efforts to secure relief and assistance. This survey will be distributed once per quarter throughout 2020, to capture the evolving effects of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on your farm or business.

No personally identifiable information (name, address, e-mail, telephone number, IP address, etc.) will be collected. All data from this survey will remain anonymous.
